Heart Attack Care in Sherman Oaks, CA

Compassionate Heart Attack Caregivers for Survivors

Myocardinal Infarction, also known as heart attack, occurs when blood flow to a part of the heart muscle is temporarily interrupted usually because of an atherosclerotic plaque in a coronary artery that ruptures and causes a blood clot that stops the normal flow of blood to the heart. Heart attacks significantly weaken the heart because heart cells in the damaged area die and the new cells become scar tissue, which isn’t as conductive for electrical impulses as normal heart tissue is.

Heart attacks are usually the product of bad lifestyle choices and pre-existing medical conditions such as obesity, tobacco smoking, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Heart attack survivors must look out for their health and lifestyle choices because they are at greater risk for serious complications such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular fibrillation, ventricular aneurysm, ventricular tachycardia, mitral regurgitation, or a second heart attack.

At A-1 Home Care, we want to help your Elderly or Senior loved one live healthier when they’re back at home from the hospital. We provide dedicated Heart Attack Care on a 24 Hour Live-In Care or Hourly Care basis. Our caregivers can assist with blood pressure and blood sugar level monitoring and control by ensuring your loved one eats healthily, exercises regularly, and takes any prescribed medication.

All of our compassionate Heart Attack caregivers, nurse aides, companions, and home helpers must have at least 2 years of prior at home caregiving experience, verifiable professional references, a National Background Check/DMV Check, Tuberculosis testing, Malpractice/Liability insurance, First Aid/CPR training, and a personal interview with our office staff.

Caregivers Keep us Seniors Safe and Happy this Fall Season

It’s starting to get cold now that we’ve reached November. If the home is not properly insulated, then not only does heat escape, but it also drives the heating costs up to stay warm..
